This year for Thanksgiving, we went to my parent's house. My grandpa and two brothers were there with us, so it was a little smaller than normal, but it was so fun! My mom cut out cute photobooth props for a calendar we are making my sister on her mission, and we had a good time with them. I'm not a huge Thanksgiving food type of person, but I still somehow ended up eating too much! I have so much to be thankful for. I am mostly thankful for my amazing husband. He is my best friend and love of my life. My life is so happy with him in it, even on my bad days, I can't be upset when he is around. It's impossible. I am thankful Jesus and my Father in Heaven. I would be so lost if I didn't know of their love and plan for me, and I am thankful for prayer and every aspect of the gospel. I love it. I am thankful for both of our families. They are both amazing and giving. We are so lucky to have such great support systems backing us up. I don't know how we got so lucky. I am thankful for so much this season, but those are my top three. I love this time of year to reflect on how blessed I truly am.

 ^^My mom decorated the table so cute this year- love it.^^

i woke up on the brave side of the bed.

I had been thinking about it for a good two months. I knew I wanted a change, so finally, I put my brave pants on, & went to a hair appointment. I hadn't had a haircut in over a year, and my previous hair melt had destroyed my ends. I was ready for healthy hair, & was hoping to get rid of some of those blonde ends. Somedays I love it, some days I wonder what I was thinking. But it has been a fun change, I still need to learn how to style it!
^^If I knew that's what the back of my hair looked like... I would have cut it months ago!^^
^^Before... After!^^

Last year, Taylor and I didn't dress up as anything for Halloween. I felt like a total failure because we didn't even throw anything together last minute. This year I was determined to find something cute for us to wear! I decided months before that we would be minions. Only problem is I waited til the last minute and ended up having to make almost everything for our costumes the week of Halloween, including dying our clothes twice {beanies don't take color well...}. Everything was pulled together at the last minute, and even though the silver spray paint didn't ever dry on our goggles and left paint on our faces, I think they turned out pretty cute.

^^I made cute spider cookies!^^
^^We went to papa johns with our friends that were cross dressed old people. It was so hilarious.^^
Also, we carved pumpkins. Each year, I now know it is going to be ridiculous to even try to think of making it a challenge between Tay & I because he will win. Every. Time. But that's okay, because he does create some pretty awesome pumpkins! He didn't even carve this one through. I mean. He is just so talented & creative!
 ^^I carved spiderman.^^
^^Tay carved his brother, Mikey. So cool!^^

I feel like since my birthday is in October I can say it is my favorite month of the year and actually mean it.. And I do mean it. There is something about the crisp air that makes me feel energized. It also gives me a bit of anxiety thinking about all of the brutally cold months ahead that promise winter. Those months I am not fond of. I don't like to think about how cold my house gets and how I can't sleep without four blankets and sweats. I am going to enjoy the last of this perfect weather before the cold sets in and I turn to hibernation for four months.

My 22nd birthday was perfect. I always love it when my birthday is on conference Sunday because I have an excuse to sit in bed in my pajamas all day and I get to listen to the prophet's voice! nothing is better than that. Plus, there is always delicious food involved. So I mean it's basically the best day of the year. This year had the most perfect fall weather, a nice break from the rain that usually occurs. We played cornhole in the backyard with my family and ate salmon for dinner. I got super spoiled and Tay set up my gifts so cute. He is just the best. I always feel so loved and blessed on my birthday.
^^Smile! One... Two... *Tay DIPS! ^^

I have the best in-laws in the world. There is never a dull moment when I am with them. We went to California for a family vacation. There are 16 of us, (and a few babies on the way!) so we rented two of the huge vans to fit all of us. It was so fun, and Taylor and I got to celebrate our first anniversary at the beach then at a fancy dinner where I had the best salmon of my life. We tried to walk the board walk but we were both freezing so we just got ice cream and ate it in the van!

{july 9}
the time finally came, and my baby sis left on her mission! we spent a ton of time with her before she left, i felt like we lived in draper rather than bountiful we were there so much. but it was worth it to be able to be with her for the last few weeks she was home. she flew to the mexico city mtc to learn spanish, then she will be going to Washington, D.C South. she is going to be an amazing missionary and change so many lives! so proud of her.

fourth of july

{july 4}
Taylor's aunt got married on the 4th, so we went up to park city during the day to watch the ceremony. After, we went to the Stadium of Fire. I forgot how much I used to love Kelly Clarkson when I was younger. I had such a blast singing her songs- Taylor was almossst convinced at how great she is. I'm sure Kelly will win him over one day...

{June 15}
My family vacation was planned for June, as a last hoorah before Kylie left on her mission. I had work off, but with Taylor just starting a new job, he wasn't able to get it off. I was in the worst position, between choosing to be a good sister or wife. I wanted to spend this time with Kylie before she left {especially since I didn't go on the family vacation the year before so I could be with Taylor}, but I also didn't want to leave Taylor for a week since I hate being gone from him for just a few hours. But, he was very supportive so I decided I would go on the trip, just not for the entire time. Although I missed Taylor a bunch and would have had even more fun if he was there, I had a great time spending time with my fam and my sis- something I don't get to do as much these days with life being so busy. Florida was deathly hot and humid. While it was beautiful, I could never live there! I like it when the water is cold and I could cool off, which is not the case in Florida. Running was a blast though- being able to breathe easy is nice! Now, prepare for an overload of pictures. I couldn't help it.
^^Mostly came for the treats^^
^^Alligator just hanging out^^
^^Went on a tour to see alligators. Craziest thing ever^^
