1:: A few days this week she was much more fussy than normal. Which really isn't a lot- she is just usually such an angel that it was more noticeable. If she is fussy it is almost always because she has to poop. Or that she is so tired and doesn't know what to do. 2:: We took her to church for the second time after her being an angel and sleeping the entire time last week, and right when we walked into sacrament meeting (late- someone decided to poop three times right as we were leaving!) she started crying. So I stood up and walked right back out. She fell right asleep, of course. 3:: She actually took a binkie for me today!! I am trying so hard to get her to be a binkie baby, hopefully I can wear her down and she will take it willingly. 4:: The other morning she sneezed like 50 times. Taylor and I were concerned she was allergic to something but she has stopped doing it so much. 5:: I squeezed her into her take home outfit for the last time today. I am totally in denial that I have to pack them up. Who told her she could grow up??

Olive June is one month old!! HOW did that happen. And why doesn't pregnancy go by that fast? The days seem to stand still and I am starting to get out of the newborn fog where all we do is sit and hold her all day, but it still went by fast looking back now. And my baby already looks so big to me. Time is such a bittersweet thing. I am excited to watch her grow but at the same time I want her to stay my tiny baby forever. Is that too much to ask??
At one month Olive:
-Is so alert! I love when her eyes are open and all the cute facial expressions she makes, especially when she puckers her lips. I can't help but kiss them!
-Sleeps really well at night (usually...) feeding every 3ish hours.
-Takes the best and longest naps while we are out and about.
-Has the softest cry unless I am sucking the boogers from her nose or am taking too long to feed her.
-Has had really bad baby acne that is hopefully on its way out now.
-Sometimes will be fussy until you lay her on the floor then she is fine. She just needs to chill alone sometimes- I get that.
-Is starting to lift her head up more and more, it's pretty big though so it's a challenge.
-Toots SO loud. She did it in relief society on my second Sunday at church ever. It was so embarrassing! It is pretty stinky too.
-At her 2 week appointment she was 8 lb 10 oz, head was in the 97th percentile (got that big head from mom), and was 21 inches long still. She gained 10 oz in a week and a half, so clearly she is a good eater.
-Looks just like dad. He will argue and say mom, but everyone agrees. Even people who don't know us very well can see it. It's what I prayed for for 9 months so I'm not really that surprised she looks like him.
-Has a serious expression on her face a lot but will smile occasionally, not sure if it's on purpose or gas : )
-Is already looking so big to me. It breaks my heart.
-If I am carrying her in front of me, like holding her head and her bum in my hands, and I am walking down the stairs she will flail her arms out like she is falling.
-Has the cutest tiny cry, and will do a little yell/shout if we are taking too long to feed or hold her.
-Projectile poops quite a bit if we aren't paying attention. We have learned to wait a bit after wiping her incase more comes out.
-Spits up if she does tummy time after eating.
-Gets the hiccups at least once a day, usually more.
-Is starting to find her voice and will make little noises.
-Laughs in her sleep all the time, also makes sad faces like she's having bad dreamies.
-Is the best baby! I keep thinking about how in trouble her siblings are because she has set the bar so high. ; )
-Loves bathtime, the carseat, going outside, riding in the car, eating, getting her diaper changed, having her hands free from the swaddle, background noise, when mom and dad sing to her at night to go to sleep
-Doesn't love: taking a binkie (working on it), getting boogers sucked, not having a blanket on (her lip quivers if she is uncovered), getting lotioned, wiping her face with a wet rag
We are so in love with our little baby. I don't know what we ever did before her. We are so lucky she's ours!

1:: Olive frequently forgets to breathe and I hear sudden gasps of breath, and she always chokes while nursing so we have to take a break. Everytime she is trying to catch her breath she sticks her arms out, throws her head back, and does these small single coughs. It used to freak me out and now I think it's adorable. 2:: When I was pregnant she would get the hiccups all the time, and now nothing has changed. She gets them at least 2-3 times per day. 3:: She LOVES going outside. I always try to go on a walk with her everyday, which usually results in her falling asleep. If she is ever fussy at night, we just go outside and sit on the porch with her and she calms right down and will usually fall asleep. Good thing she's a summer baby! 4:: The only time she is fussy is when she cries or if she is gassy, which has happened a few times and I just figured out I think it bugs her when I eat chocolate. So no more chocolate for me which is fine because I don't like chocolate that much anyway. Hopefully it will help her stomach feel better. 5:: She has had a rough week with her face. She had goopy eyes this last week, and they seem to be getting better now. Poor thing they look so sad when she wakes up from a nap. 6:: She also started getting little baby zits, and someone told me to just pick the top off. Bad idea. Now she has two sores on her face. So someone else suggested I get a certain type of lotion to get rid of zits. So I have been using it for two days now and it has made her acne so much worse! I feel so bad. Hopefully the lotion starts helping? I don't know if it caused her zits to get worse or if it would have happened anyway. 7:: She has basically put herself on a schedule. She is a dream baby, seriously! She wakes up usually around 5 or 6 am, is up for maybe an hour, goes back to sleep until around 9 am. Then is up for a few hours, maybe takes another hour nap. Around 12 or 1 pm, she will go to sleep and usually sleeps until 4. Then she is up until around 9 for bedtime, with maybe another little nap somewhere in there. She wakes up usually 2-3 times per night and falls back to sleep when she is done eating. I don't know how we got such a good baby. 8:: She went to Cherry Hill one night last week with me and Taylor's family. Neither of us could swim or do anything, but she loved sitting outside for a few hours! 9:: Taylor and I celebrated our third anniversary last weekend, and got his mom to babysit Olive for a few hours while we went to park city. I was so not wanting to leave her, but I'm glad we got away for a bit. It was so fun. And we mostly talked about her the whole time. : ) 10:: She is wearing mostly 0-3 month clothing now. Breaks my heart! Stop growing little baby!

Olive and I had to get out of the house one day, so we both got into our swimsuits and headed to swim. Neither of us could actually swim because I am still healing from my C-Section and she is too little and the water is too cold, but we still had fun! She looks too cute in her swimsuit it was killing me. She haaaated the sunglasses! Her eyes are closed under there and she was freaking out. Haha she is so hilarious I can't get enough of her.

1:: I put Olive in her first 0-3 month outfit this week. It was pretty huge on her, but it still made me so sad. She is growing too fast! 2:: She LOVES bath time and being outside. She just lays in the water while we hold her and she can't get enough. If she is ever fussy I take her outside and she immediately stops and just looks around. 3:: She has been cluster feeding. She will forget she's hungry for a few hours, then wants to eat every hour for a few hours. It's helping her get chubby cheeks! 4:: She always puckers her lips, especially when she is trying to wake up. It is the cutest thing ever! 5:: She smiles and laughs in her sleep a lot, but she has started doing little smiles while awake too! 6:: When I burp her I hold onto her jaw and pat her back in my lap. She always sticks her arms straight out like a zombie and it's hilarious. Her face being burped is one of my favorite things on this earth! 7:: She has been getting an upset stomach a lot lately which is sad. The other night she pooped all over her swing, outfit, blanket.. It was everywhere. Motherhood is awesome. : ) 8:: She still hates her binky. I'm hoping that'll change! 9:: She lost her belly button yesterday. 10:: She is still sleeping so good at night. I am hoping that stays too. : )

Besides the doctor and Station Park for 20 minutes, our first official family outing was to the Of Love Tournament in Salt Lake City. Taylor's best friend and neighbor's family puts on this event every year in honor of their mom who passed away in 2009. All of the proceeds go to help find a cure for diabetes. It is such a neat event. Olive was an angel the whole time and slept for a while in my wrap, then I just sat on a chair and held her (I think she got hot). She didn't make a peep until we were leaving, so I just fed her in our car before we drove home. I might be jinxing myself, but she is the best behaved baby ever. I love her so much!

1:: Olive is an angel baby. She has the calmest personality and makes the sweetest noises and funniest faces in her sleep. 2:: She is usually pretty awake during the morning hours, then sleeps most of the rest of the day. 3:: She is a particularly good night sleeper, waking up 2-3 times, and usually falling right back asleep. Only sometimes does she stay up for a little while. 4:: She toots so loud. Gets that from her dad ; ) 5:: Rarely ever cries loud- unless I'm trying to get the boogers out of her nose, then she screams.
