Halloween

I knew I wanted Olive to be an Olive for Halloween. I mean, I had to. But I had no idea what to have Taylor and I be. I knew we weren't really doing anything so I was fine not having us dress up. Then at the last minute I decided to make us Olive trees since we both had brown bottoms and a green shirt. I'm so glad we did. It was so much fun. I will have to be more on the ball with costumes next year. Olive loved walking around in her stroller as Ivy was trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. It was the nicest night, so warm. And our neighborhood is full of kids it was like a party with all the parents taking them around. I can't wait until Olive is big enough to trick-or-treat. Mostly to score me some candy. ; ) I've never been the biggest Halloween fan, but I can already tell holidays are so much more fun with kids!

Weekly Update

1:: I put her in her first 3-6 month outfit this week. It was big on her but not by much. 2:: One day this week she slept until 6:30 am! I felt like a new person! Then to make up for it she decides to start waking up twice a night again. Ugh. 3:: Olive rolled over on Sunday!!! We put her on her tummy, and she plopped over! Taylor thought she just fell so we put her back, and she rolled over a couple more times! She is getting so good at tummy time too. 4:: We put her in her bumbo and it is hilarious. She can do it, she's just a little wobbly. 5:: On Monday she finally took a nap! She slept from 10-1. I got so much done. I think I would be a lot more sane if she did that everyday. I don't know how to get her to take real naps and not just cat naps.

Three Months Old

A quarter of the way to a year! How is time going so fast??

At three months Olive:
-Loves to eat! Sometimes she is super loud too. Makes me laugh.
-Still has the quietest cry. It is so sweet and sounds like a fake baby cry. She can cry loud, but it doesn't happen often.
-Loves long car rides and sleeps almost the whole time.
-Doesn't mind when mom leans over her carseat to feed her so we don't have to stop.
-Holds her head up so good!
-Is getting better at tummy time, would probably be great at it if mom made her do it more.
-Loves sophie giraffe and looking at her knitted mermaid and bunny toys when they rattle.
-Loves her space and sometimes just needs to lay on the floor and hang out by herself for a while.
-Sleeps 9pm-9am and wakes up twice to eat, once if mom is lucky. : )
-Is getting so long, it looks like she is almost out growing her swing!
-Loves to talk a lot, and make shapes with her mouth when you are talking to her.
-Loves giving everyone cheeser smiles, even people we pass at stores.
-Will smile and laugh when laying down, but won't give you the time of day if you're holding her.
-Loves to be held on the shoulder so she can look around and be a big girl.
-Practices standing all day on laps.
-Loves to be held sitting on someone's lap, facing forward.
-Calms right down whenever we go outside.
-Took her first real vacation to St. George.
-Is a terrible napper, even while being held sometimes.
-Missed mom while she had a kidney infection and couldn't feed her.
-Is a huge daddy's girl and gets so excited when he comes home.
-Kicks her feet fast when we walk over to pick her up from her swing.
-Toots so loud all the time. She usually toots herself awake in the mornings.
-Still gets the hiccups all the time.
-Is still so good when getting her diaper changed.
-May be starting to teethe, she is so drooly and never stops sucking and chewing on her hands.
-Is in size 1 diapers and 0-3 clothing.
-Is so smiley in the mornings!

Loves: taking baths, going on walks or runs in the stroller, wearing socks to keep her toes warm, looking at the tv when it is on, watching the fan, talking to mom and dad, getting tickled, eating, smiling, playing without any pants on, the car, sleeping at night.
Doesn't love: getting too hungry or tired, bottles, sitting in a wet or poopy diaper, napping.

I will probably always thing time is going fast, but I feel like it is passing before my eyes. My newborn is an infant!

Weekly Update

1:: Olive is the biggest daddy's girl. She always gives him the best giggles! She is starting to laugh more for me now too. 2:: Her nails grow so fast I have to cut them 1-2 times per week or she will scratch everything, including her face. 3:: She is so smiley! She is starting to smile at other people when they see her at a store too. Such a cheeser. She is the most smiliest in the morning. 4:: She is so ticklish, and laughs more and more when we tickle her! She is most ticklish on the bottoms of her feet, under her arms, under her chin, and her thighs. 5:: She went swimming for the first time while we were in St. George. It wasn't super warm, but she loved it! Her face looked so unimpressed the whole time though. 6:: She will laugh if she is laying down, but if you're holding her it is almost impossible to get her to laugh. 7:: She slept all the way from Layton to Beaver when we were heading to St. George. The car is a magic sleeping machine for her!

Weekly Update

1:: Olive kicks her legs super fast when she's in her bouncer or swing when I walk over to pick her up like she is so excited. 2:: She grabs things (like my hair or Taylor's face) with her toes they are so long. 3:: Her feet are long, but so skinny none of her shoes fit! 4:: She is the best napper on Sunday, or when dad is home. Go figure. 5:: She hates bottles. It is the worst because I stress and worry the whole time I leave her.

Weekly Update

1:: I always stress when someone else watches Olive because I worry she won't eat from the bottle. My parents watched her on Friday night and she ate 4 oz! I was so relieved. 2:: She is starting to laugh more, especially when I hold or feed her on my left side she starts smiling and giggling. 3:: She is also starting to talk and coo more. When I talk to her she makes noises and opens her mouth like she wants to talk too. 4:: She LOVES her sophie giraffe. She chews on it all the time. She drools a lot too I wonder if she might be starting to teethe. 5:: We went to Muller Park to walk around the fall leaves and she loved it. 6:: During conference she loved President Monson's voice. She looked at him the entire time.
