Weekly Update

1:: We stayed in Draper and watched Jax this week. Olive and Jax finally had their bonding time, and he finally likes her. 2:: Olive missed dada a lot though, and was so excited to get home and see him! 3:: I had my parent's neighbor watch Olive and it was the first time I had someone who wasn't a family member watch her. She slept there and played. She was so good! 4:: I made beets for the first time, and of course Olive loved them. There's nothing that girl won't eat. 5:: She sleeps so good at my parent's house, probably because the basement is so dark. She took a 3 hour nap one day!

Weekly Update

1:: She is finally starting to feel better! She's her happy self again! Thank goodness. 2:: My mom gave her this little lamb that baa's and walks and Olive loves it. She laughs at it every time I turn it on. It's so funny and cute. 3:: She has stranger danger. She will start crying when someone talks to her or if a man, even one in our family, talks to or holds her. I don't know quite how to make that stop. Taylor is happy with it and wants that aversion to men to continue until she is 30. ; ) 4:: She only wants to be on her belly in the tub. Which means she wants to eat the water, but she does practice swimming too. Can't wait to take her to the pool this summer! 5:: She is being breast fed and bottle fed, and eating normal food. I lost some of my milk while in Vegas so I've been working to get it back. She is transitioning back and forth between them really great.

Photo Dump

Pictures from the seventh month of Olive's life:

Eight Months Old

At eight months Olive:
-Is a moving machine, she doesn't stay put for even a minute.
-Has stranger danger and will cry if she doesn't recognize you or if a man is talking to her.
-Had her first ear infection, and threw up four times.
-Spent the weekend with dad and slept at nana's house over night while mom was out of town.
-Takes a bottle like a champ, and gets really excited when she sees it.
-Is so good at feeding herself now, only struggles sometimes.
-Eats so many things, and finally had her first baby food bought from the store and loved it.
-Eats from squeeze packets so good.
-Talks back and forth with Taylor and I, especially with Taylor. She mimics his noises.
-Is kind of more of a mommy's girl lately, I love it.
-Loves this little easter lamb that baa's and walks. She laughs at it every time.
-Loves taking medicine, she loved her amoxicillin and tylenol.
-Can play by herself on the floor.
-Loves reading books.
-Loves sitting in her high chair while I cook dinner.
-Is sleeping through the night (mostly...) or waking a little to cry but then right back to sleep. Hallelujah! She sleeps from 7ish until 8:30. I do go in to feed her about 6 or 7 but that's more for me so I can keep sleeping when she goes back to sleep. It's amazing.
-Is napping a lot better too, taking two naps a day.
-Cut her first tooth, and a few days later cut her second tooth! Happened in the same week she got an ear infection and the weekend I was out of town, so that was just not a good week.
-Has the most amazing blue eyes, I can't go anywhere without someone commenting on them.
-Is wearing 6-12 clothes, but still wears 3-6 onesies sometimes and pants.
-Pushes up onto all fours and rocks back and forth. She wants to crawl.
-Does a zombie scoot. She uses her legs and her head basically and flings her arm out to pull her forward. It is so funny, but she is getting better at using her arms and is getting fast!
-Only wants to sit up or lay on her stomach in the bath tub. It's too slippery for her to sit on her own, and I get nervous of her on her stomach. She just kicks her legs, I can't wait to take her to the pool this summer!
-I finally started putting her in her stroller without her carseat. It took a few tries but she loves being able to see everything. I'm ready for it to warm up so we can go on more walks!

Loves: mom and dad, bathtime, walks, riding in the car, bottles, sleeping, reading books, food
Hates: elevators, strangers, men, being tired, not being able to crawl, not being able to get where she wants to go, when mom and dad don't feed her fast enough.

Weekly Update

1:: Olive hates it when we have to lotion her body morning and night. She also hates when we get her dressed now. 2:: She cut her second tooth! Hopefully the poor girl gets a break now. 3:: She has a double ear infection. Before I went to Vegas she was crying so much and pulling on her ears. She cried a lot when I was gone so when I got home I decided to take her to the doctor. Poor baby! 4:: She scoots in the funniest, most unconventional way. It makes me laugh. She like does a stink bug. 5:: She loves tags, empty boxes, and empty water bottles. Any stuffed animal or shirt she will find the tag and play with it. 6:: She plays peek a boo by putting her head on the floor then looking up at me. It makes me laugh. I love her so much!

Weekly Update

1:: Olive cut her first tooth this week! She did it on Sunday, March 6th. 2:: She likes all of the food we have fed her so far and loves when it's dinner time because then she gets to eat. 3:: She slept through the night for the first time this week!! It only took 6 nights of sleep training. It hasn't really happened much since, but it was awesome! 4:: She threw up 4 times this week. Like a lot of barf. I am thinking it might be from teething or something?? 5:: She hates elevators! I went to City Creek with my mom and she would cry every time we went inside one. That and every time someone would talk to her. I gotta get her to not do that...

Weekly Update

1:: She went swinging outside for the first time and she LOVED it! She was smiling the whole time except when I pulled out my phone to take a pic. 2:: Our neighbors had a baby and Olive is a giant compared to him! It was so sad. 3:: I tried to get her to watch Bubble Guppies but she wouldn't. She will watch the office with us when it is on though. 4:: She wants to crawl so bad. She can't quite figure it out but she gets up on all 4s and rocks. 5:: I sleep trained her this week. She is doing amazing! The first few nights were awful and she cried an hour and 15 the first night in the middle of the night, but since then it's been less and less crying! Thank goodness! 6:: she went in a shopping cart sitting up for the first time this week. It makes her look so big!!
